After one of yeshivas mivtzas and a bit of waiting for a day with calm winds, the bochurim had a chance to fly an actual plane!
our pilot was... very impressed! About two weeks ago, a group of talmidim went on a trip - a scenic flight over Decorah-Postville.
Today we received the following email: We are back in postville after our pesach break. We now started learning and davening in the dorm, and it's a nice time to move because believe it or not postville does get hot and its nice to have a proper AC.
Rabbi Moshe Chaim Levin, renowned Shliach to Kensington, NY, farbrenged with the bochurim of the Postville Yeshivas Kayitz.
Reb Levi Yitzchok Schneerson - the Rebbe's father - passed away in the town of Chi'li on 20 Av, 1944, while in exile in the former Soviet Union for his activism on behalf of yiddish'keit. Rabbi Levin's father himself was also exiled for the same reason. Over a period of ten years of his childhood, from 1957 until 1967, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Levin would go visit his father in his place of imprisonment and exile. Those experiences remain very vivid in his mind and psyche. |
